THE 7 BIGGEST EVENTS IN CANADA:
It is no surprise that Canada is very rich in culture and events. This can be attributed to the fact that Canada is one of the most diverse countries in the world. In fact, it is predicted that Toronto will be the most diverse city in the world in few years’ time.
There are hundreds and thousands of events in Canada annually but for the purpose of this piece, we will focus on the biggest seven.
CAVENDISH BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL Prince Edward Island
Imagine nonstop musical performances for five days by top 25 music artists in the world. It began gaining popularity after being nominated for the country festival of the year in 2010 by the Canadian Country Music Association. It is always an event to watch out for.
JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL QUEBEC:

This is the worlds largest comedy event as it brings together over 2 million people every July. This event has been around for more than 3 decades. It comes in various performances such as gala, club, theatre, open-air shows and television shows. It is no surprise it is one of the biggest events in Canada.
CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS British Columbia:
For two weeks during the heat of summer, there is a big fireworks competition that attracts about 1.6 million people to Vancouver every year. In fact, this event is the biggest fireworks event in North America and the world. It is considered as North Americas biggest pyrotechnic competition.
FOLKLORAMA FESTIVAL Manitoba:
For the foodies, this is a festival to attend. Every August, Folklorama presents about 50 cultural pavilions where guests can sample ethnic foods, meet traditionally costumed volunteers and have interactive fun and exposures to different cultures of the world. This festival attracts half a million people to Winnipeg every year.
PACIFIC NATIONAL EXHIBITION:
For more than a century, Vancouver has consistently been hosting people all over the world every August for the Pacific National Exhibition. It is always very in activities such as sporting events, amusement rides, musical performances. It is the best attended ticketed event in the country.
THE INNUMARIT MUSIC FESTIVAL Nunavut:
Despite their harsh weather and climate conditions, these guys also create time for fun. The innumarit music festival has been recognized as one of the top summer events in Canada. It is  a nonstop entertainment for four days.
OPG WINTER FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS Niagara Ontario:
This list is incomplete without this big event. It was recently recognized as one of Canada’s ten most festive Christmas cities as it happens between November and January every year. More than 120 spectacular illuminations, attracts more than 1.5 million people annually to Niagara.
It is safe to conclude that Canada is one of the richest countries in events and festivals.
